Why it exists
When a click feels off or a screen looks wrong, you shouldn't need to download a sketchy utility to find out why. We built simple, focused tests that answer one question each - is my mouse double-clicking? what's my real polling rate? is this panel dropping frames? - and we keep them fast and ad-light.
Who runs this
RigPolice is built and maintained by Vadim Cheban, a software engineer with more than eight years of commercial development behind him and a long habit of building, overclocking, and stress testing his own machines. Every tool here is code he wrote and still maintains.
How it works
The tools are static and client-side: the measurements happen on your device, in real time, and nothing about your hardware is sent to us. We don't ask you to sign in, and we don't collect personal data to run a test. For details on what little we do measure, see our Privacy Policy.
If you want to know exactly how a number is produced, which browser APIs each test uses, and where a browser measurement stops being trustworthy, we wrote it all down in how we test.
How we stay free
RigPolice is supported in part by affiliate commissions on gear we recommend. Those recommendations are independent of any commission and never change a test result - see our Affiliate Disclosure for the full story.
